Hey there gorgeous,
This post is all about gratitude. You see Tony Robbins was spot on when he said ‘You can’t be angry and grateful simultaneously. You can’t be fearful and grateful simultaneously, so gratitude is the reset button, the cleanser of the soul.’ Ah, Tony. Always just so spot-on, isn’t he?!
What this means is that we get to choose how we feel, we have the power in every single moment to decide what we’re going to focus on. Fear or gratitude. Anger or gratitude. We can focus on lack, and what someone is not doing for us, or how life isn’t how we want it to be OR we can flip that switch and focus on the abundance that is currently there right now, and the beautiful things that people are doing for you, how they’re showing up for you in the best way that they possibly can and know how to, and how life is supporting you at all times, and it’s giving you exactly what you’re asking for.
If you’re continuously whining and complaining, then you’re going to get more of those things that you’re focusing on and putting your energy towards. If we can flip that, all you need to do is shift your focus to what is amazing in your life right now. If you can’t think of anything that you’re grateful for, which I’m sure you can, just start by being grateful for your breath. Right now, you’re breathing. That keeps you alive. What an amazing thing that is!
Settle in to this fact alone and then let it grow. You have a body and legs that can walk, arms that can move, eyes that can see. You see where I’m going? It’s all a choice. The more we start to focus on something, even just the breath, and focus on what you do have, as opposed to what you don’t, it increases the energy of gratitude and even if it’s just a little bit, it raises the levels of joy within your body. Once you have that small rise in joy it will build. One good feeling builds on another good feeling, that builds on another, and so on, and so on, and so on.
So feel what you’re grateful for gorgeous. Start to feel the gratitude and let it grow and mulitply and spread out across your whole life. You can do this or you can focus on the things that don’t feel good and keep thinking “This is crap. That’s crap. Everything is crap,” This will continue the crap and keep you in that low vibing energy, and will build on those crap feelings and all the things you don’t want.
I don’t know about you, but I would much prefer to be the person skipping down the street with my heart completely open, loving life, hearing the birds sing. Yeah, I would prefer to be that crazy girl that is like, “Oh, my God, the birds are singing in the trees, and it’s such a beautiful day.” I would much rather be that person than the one that is walking along thinking”FML. Life is shit. Blah blah blah blah.” No thanks. I’m not saying you have to turn into Snow White. I mean, you can if you want too, it would be so fun hanging out with the 7 Dwarves and having Bluebirds dress you, or was that Cinderalla? Okay, trying to figure out the right Disney Princess is completely irrelevant and off the path (but who doesn’t love Disney Princesses?!)
